MCR3U – Functions, Grade 11 (University Preparation)

$550.00

Category:

This course introduces students to the mathematical concept of the function and extends their understanding of relationships studied in earlier grades. Learners will investigate the properties and applications of linear, quadratic, exponential, and trigonometric functions, and explore how these can be represented algebraically, graphically, and numerically.

Students will develop problem-solving strategies, learn to manipulate algebraic expressions, and analyze functions to model real-world and theoretical situations. They will also examine inverse and composite functions, strengthening their ability to reason mathematically and communicate ideas effectively. By the end of the course, students will be prepared for Grade 12 Advanced Functions (MHF4U) and Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U), as well as postsecondary programs that require strong analytical and mathematical skills.
